Hawk-Eye to deliver enhanced services at the RWC 2019

The Rugby World Cup has again asked Hawk-Eye to supply their video replay technology. At this year’s tournament, starting this Friday, 20th September, 20 teams will play 48 matches. The Hawk-Eye team is delighted and proud to support this prestigious international event with a wide range of services:

  • The Television Match Official (TMO) system will provide video replay to support officials.
  • Citing Commissioners and Referee Performance Reviewers will have real-time and retrospective access to video feeds.
  • Hawk-Eye will also be providing real-time footage to the RWC 2019 Stats Loggers to ensure RWC analytics are more accurate and detailed than ever before.
  • In addition, medical teams and match doctors will be able to access all camera angles to better review and diagnose incidents, while complete match footage will be available for teams to analyse their own performances, as well as upcoming opponents.
