Press Release

Basingstoke, United Kingdom / Los Angeles, CA, United States – February 25th, 2026 – League One Volleyball (LOVB),  the largest community in youth volleyball and the nation’s first professional league built from the club up, and Hawk-Eye Innovations, a Sony Group company, today announced the expansion of their strategic collaboration for the league’s second season. Building on a long-standing synergy, this collaboration underscores Hawk-Eye’s commitment to the women’s sports sector, further integrating elite technology to support the immense growth of professional women’s volleyball in the United States.

Hawk-Eye's advanced technology, at the forefront of sports officiating globally across multiple disciplines, has this year introduced its "gold standard" Live In/Out tracking alongside its renowned video replay challenge services. The technology ensures that the most critical points in a match are decided with accuracy and in real time, providing players, coaches, and fans with the transparency that a professional league of this calibre demands.

While the collaboration focuses on officiating integrity, it also transforms the viewing experience. Hawk-Eye provides enhanced data visualisations for illustrative confirmations of replay decisions for fans in the venue and those watching on broadcast. Additionally, deep sets of analytics create comprehensive data streams for broadcasters and in-venue screens. LOVB fans can now engage more deeply with the game through compelling stories built on real-time statistics.

"We’ve been proud partners of LOVB from the very beginning, and it is a privilege to support its continued growth as the league redefines professional sports for women," said Angela Gillespie, Head of Growth Sports at Hawk-Eye. "The LOVB team is an exceptional partner, with a truly inspiring vision for the sport. We look forward to continued innovation together, to expanding the league's reach, and providing the best possible experience for athletes and fans for years to come.”

Reflecting the rapid trajectory of LOVB, the scope of the collaboration has grown significantly. Hawk-Eye is now deployed across 11 venues, and compared to the inaugural season the number of games covered has almost doubled. This ensures that the same elite-tier technology used by the world's top federations is available to LOVB athletes nationwide.
