Basingstoke, United Kingdom, and Warsaw, Poland – July 20, 2026 – Hawk-Eye Innovations, a Sony Group company, has officially announced a multi-year partnership with Ekstraklasa and Live Park to implement some of its key football technologies across Poland’s premier football division.

During the upcoming 2026/27 season, in late autumn, the league will introduce a comprehensive suite of performance, officiating, and broadcast enhancement tools, designed to reinforce Polish top flight football to the forefront of sports innovation.

“Continued technological development has long been one of Ekstraklasa’s strategic priorities, consistently pursued across multiple areas of our operations for years. However, the pace of innovation in this field is accelerating rapidly. Through our partnership with Hawk-Eye, we are once again bringing the most advanced solutions used in top-level football around the world. These technologies will support the sporting development of Ekstraklasa clubs, while also enhancing the appeal of matches and broadcasts for both media partners and fans” said Marcin Animucki, President of Ekstraklasa.

The project will incorporate Hawk-Eye’s SkeleTRACK tracking system, capturing real-time skeletal player and ball data for teams and media partners, with insights visualised on the company’s Data Analytics Platform. As a further enhancement, Hawk-Eye will be providing an AI-driven Automated Tactical Camera, which will deliver continuous, 4K broadcast-quality footage for deeper tactical analysis. Combined, these tools bring elite, world-class performance insights and data-driven storytelling straight to the Ekstraklasa.

Hawk-Eye’s SkeleTRACK system will also power the company’s industry leading Semi-Automated Offside Technology (SAOT), which has been used extensively across FIFA and UEFA competitions over the past number of years. The automated real-time system will ensure the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa has the highest standard of officiating tools at its disposal, with virtual animations of each offside incident available to broadcasters and fans in the stadium within seconds of a decision being made.  Documentation, technical, and pre-installation work is currently underway. The project is set to begin in full in late autumn.

It is also an important part of Ekstraklasa’s long-term technology development, especially in the context of the new Media Centre, which is scheduled to launch in the 2027/28 season using of the most innovative technologies in world sport,” said Marcin Serafin, Chief Operating Officer at Live Park.

The collaboration also promises to completely transform how fans consume the game, through the use of HawkAR, Hawk-Eye’s proprietary 3D augmented reality visualisation product. Already seen across major football and tennis broadcasts over the past year, including the FIFA World Cup 2026, HawkAR is set to enhance live broadcasting by transforming raw tracking data into immersive, interactive graphics for fans, adding a deeper layer of storytelling to the coverage.
