Wimbledon and Hawk-Eye Innovations Extend Long-Standing Collaboration
The All England Lawn Tennis Club and Hawk-Eye Innovations will continue their successful collaboration for multiple years, working closely to bring broad-ranging enhancements and innovation to The Championships, Wimbledon.
LONDON, 11 July, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- The All England Lawn Tennis Club is revered and renowned for delivering a world-class tennis experience for fans on the Grounds and around the world. To ensure gold-standard ball tracking and officiating services will continue at The Championships, the All England Club have agreed to a multi-year extension of their very successful collaboration with Hawk-Eye Innovations.
Hawk-Eye will continue to provide world-class data tracking and officiating services at The Championships through its player and ball tracking technology, which are used not only for the most precise officiating systems, but also to power advanced performance analytics solutions.
Hawk-Eye first debuted at The Championships in 2007 and each year has brought improvements, efficiencies and innovations to their services. This year, players, media and fans will notice new bounce visualisations on replays, modernised broadcast, live augmented reality views and other innovative ways to use player and ball tracking data to enhance fans’ viewing experience.
Looking ahead, the collaboration will continue to explore how Hawk-Eye’s ever-evolving technology can further amplify the use of player and ball tracking information before, during and after The Championships, increasing the overall engagement and dialogue as records are broken on the historic grass courts.
